Terms of service
These terms are an agreement between your company and ToTheMoon (Pty) Ltd. They apply when anyone from your company signs in to the Langrove console, connects an AI tool to it, or runs the Langrove runtime. Last updated 11 October 2026.
1. Who this agreement is between
- Us: ToTheMoon (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa (no. 2024/203943/07), which owns and runs Langrove ("we", "us").
- You: the company or other organisation the person accepting these terms works for ("you"). Whoever accepts confirms they have authority to bind it.
- For business use only. Langrove is not offered to consumers.
- How you accept. You accept these terms, with our data processing agreement, by ticking the box we show when someone from your company first signs in, and by using any part of Langrove. We record who accepted, which version and when. If you don't accept them, don't use Langrove.
- A signed order or agreement with us takes priority over these terms where the two differ.
2. What the words mean
- "Langrove" or "the service": the console at console.langrove.build, the connection AI tools use to build on Langrove, the runtime, our website, and our documentation, guides, templates and anything else we provide with them, including updates.
- "The runtime": the software we publish that runs your apps in an AWS account, whether that account is yours or one we run for you.
- "Your apps": what you, your people and your AI tools build on Langrove, such as data models, code, access rules, workflows and sites.
- "Your data": what you and your apps' users put into your apps, and anything you upload to Langrove.
- "Your users": the people you allow to use the console on your behalf. Your apps' own users are "end users".
3. Your right to use Langrove
- While this agreement lasts, we give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Langrove for your own internal business, and to let your users and end users use your apps.
- Everything not expressly granted in these terms stays ours. You get a right to use Langrove, not ownership of any part of it.
- Early access. We approve each company ourselves and may decline or end early access at our discretion. Features may change while Langrove is in early access.
- Your users' accounts. You decide who your users are, keep their details accurate, keep their sign-in methods secure, and are responsible for everything done through their accounts and the AI tools they connect.
4. Your apps and your data
- They're yours. You own your apps and your data. You let us store, copy, process and display them only as needed to provide Langrove to you.
- You're responsible for your apps: what they do, the access rules you set, the data they hold, the secrets and connections you add, and how they treat end users. That includes having the right to the data you put in, giving end users the notices and asking for the consents the law requires, and following the laws that apply to your business.
- We don't review your apps. We aren't responsible for what they do, what they store or what they send, or for any harm they cause.
- Keep your own copies. You are responsible for keeping backups of your data that you need.
5. AI tools and what they produce
- Langrove works with AI tools you choose, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, and the console has an AI assistant of its own. What AI produces, including code, access rules, workflows and text, can be wrong, insecure, or infringe someone else's rights.
- You review it before it goes live. Only a person can put a release live on Langrove, and that person decides it is ready. You are responsible for every change you or your AI tools make and every release you put live.
- Your accounts with AI providers, and any keys you connect for your apps' own agents, are covered by your agreements with those providers, and you pay for them.
6. Your AWS account, and hosting
- In your own AWS account: you are responsible for that account, for your agreement with Amazon Web Services, and for every AWS charge it incurs. We can only do what the access role you install allows. If you remove it, we can no longer update, support or show you anything in that account.
- In an account we run for you: we create an AWS account for your company and run Langrove in it. You pay for its hosting usage as set out in your order, or on our website if you have no order.
- Amazon's rules apply to your apps. Where we run your apps, they run on our agreement with Amazon Web Services, so you must follow the AWS Acceptable Use Policy and the AWS service terms. The same goes for the sign-in emails we send for your apps. We may suspend an app, or the emails we send for it, to stop or prevent a breach of them.
- Either way, costs that your apps cause, through their traffic, their code, the AI calls they make or the data they store, are yours. We aren't responsible for outages or faults in Amazon Web Services or any other provider.
7. What you may not do
You will not, and will not help or allow anyone else to:
- Copy or change Langrove: copy, modify, translate or create works based on any part of Langrove, other than your own apps.
- Take it apart: reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise try to work out the source code, design, algorithms, data structures or architecture of the console, the runtime or any other part of Langrove, except where the law allows it regardless of this agreement. You may inspect the runtime installed in your AWS account to review its security and to operate your apps, but not to copy it or build anything from it.
- Build a competitor with it: use Langrove, the runtime, our documentation, guides, templates or security materials, or anything you learn from their non-public parts, to design, build, train, improve or support any product or service that competes with Langrove.
- Use it as a competitor: use or access Langrove if you build or offer a product or service that competes with it, or to watch its features, performance or availability for competitive purposes, unless we agree in writing.
- Publish comparisons: publish benchmarks, tests or comparisons of Langrove without our written permission.
- Pass it on: resell, sublicense, rent, lend or share Langrove, or offer it as a service to others. Running your own apps for your own end users is fine.
- Get round its limits: remove our notices, or bypass access controls, usage limits, security measures or licence checks.
- Attack it: probe, scan or test the security of our systems without our written permission, or interfere with or disrupt Langrove or other customers' use of it. Testing your own apps in your own AWS account is fine.
- Misuse it: use Langrove for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful; to store or send malware, spam, or material that infringes someone's rights; to send anything other than sign-in emails through the emails we send for your apps; to scrape or extract it other than through the interfaces we document; or where its failure could cause death, injury or serious damage.
Not competing with us. While this agreement lasts and for 12 months after it ends, you won't offer anyone else a product or service that competes with Langrove. Building tools for your own business on Langrove, or with other products, isn't affected. If a court finds any part of this section wider than the law allows, it applies to the widest extent the law allows.
8. What stays ours
- We own Langrove and everything in it: the console, the runtime, our documentation, guides and templates, and every improvement to them, including improvements we make using what we learn from how Langrove is used. Our names and logos are ours too.
- Suggestions. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, with no obligation to you.
- The runtime. While this agreement lasts, you may install and run the runtime in your AWS account, or have us run it for you, only to run your apps.
9. Fees and payment
- You pay the fees in your order, or on our website if you have no order, plus hosting usage where we run Langrove for you. We invoice monthly, in the currency on the invoice, and you pay within 30 days of the invoice date.
- Fees don't include VAT or other taxes, which you pay as well.
- If you pay late, we may suspend the console and our services until you pay, and charge interest at 1.5% a month or the most the law allows, whichever is lower.
- We may change our prices with at least 30 days' notice. The new prices apply from your next billing period after that.
10. Confidential information
- Each of us will keep the other's non-public information confidential, use it only for this agreement, and protect it at least as carefully as our own. Ours includes the non-public parts of Langrove and the runtime, our documentation and security materials, and our prices and terms with you.
- This doesn't cover information that is public through no fault of the one receiving it, that it already had or got lawfully from someone else, or that it developed independently. Either of us may disclose information when the law requires, after telling the other where the law allows.
11. Personal information
- Our privacy policy explains what we collect about your users and how we use it.
- For personal information in your apps and your data, you are the responsible party (the controller, under the GDPR), and we are your operator (processor). Our data processing agreement is part of these terms and governs that processing, including the sub-processors we use and how we tell you about a security breach.
- Each of us follows the data protection laws that apply to it, including South Africa's POPIA and, where they apply, the UK and EU GDPR.
12. Other companies' services
- Langrove relies on other companies' services, including Amazon Web Services, Google, Microsoft and the AI providers you choose. We don't control them, and their own terms apply to your use of them. We aren't responsible for their availability, accuracy or what they do with data you send them.
13. What we promise, and what we don't
- We'll provide Langrove with reasonable skill and care.
- Apart from that, Langrove is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no other promises, express or implied, including that it is fit for a particular purpose, of a particular quality, free of errors or interruptions, secure against every attack, or that anything AI produces with it is correct.
14. The limits of our liability
- Indirect losses. We aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, however caused, even if we knew it was possible.
- Things outside our control. We aren't liable for your apps and what they do, for anything AI produces, for charges in any AWS account, for your data, or for other companies' services.
- The most we'll pay. Our total liability for everything arising from this agreement is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
- These limits apply whatever the legal basis of a claim, to the extent the law allows. They don't limit liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as for fraud.
15. Claims about your apps
- You will defend us and cover our losses, damages, costs and reasonable legal fees if anyone makes a claim against us arising from your apps, your data, your users or end users, your use of an AWS account, or your breach of these terms or the law.
16. Suspension and ending this agreement
- How long it lasts. This agreement starts when you first accept it and continues until either of us ends it.
- You may end it at any time by emailing us, and you pay any fees owed up to then.
- We may end it with 30 days' notice. We may end it immediately if you don't pay, or if you breach these terms and don't fix it within 14 days of our notice, or immediately if a breach can't be fixed.
- Suspension. We may suspend access to the console, deploys or updates if you don't pay, breach section 7, or put Langrove, other customers or anyone else at risk. Where we run your apps for you, we may also stop an app that is unlawful or puts others at risk.
- Your apps keep running. When this agreement ends, your access to the console, updates and support ends. If the runtime is in your own AWS account, you may keep running the version already installed there, unchanged, only to operate your existing apps for your own business. Sections 7, 8 and 10 still apply to it.
- If we run it for you, we'll offer to hand over the AWS account your apps run in. If you don't take it within 30 days of the end, we may shut that account down and delete your apps and data, unless the law requires us to keep them.
- Sections that by their nature should continue after the end, including 7, 8, 10, 13, 14, 15 and 17, continue.
17. Law, disputes and the rest
- Law and courts. South African law governs this agreement. The courts of Gauteng, South Africa, have exclusive jurisdiction, and each of us accepts it.
- Changes to these terms. We may change these terms. We'll tell you by email or in the console at least 30 days before a change that matters takes effect, and ask each of your users to accept the new version when they next sign in. If you keep using Langrove after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you may end this agreement before they take effect.
- Notices are given by email: to us at jacques@tothemoon.build, and to you at the address your company's first user signed in with.
- Transfer. You may not transfer this agreement without our written consent. We may transfer it to a company that takes over Langrove or our business.
- Events outside our control. Neither of us is liable for a delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, unrest, government action, or failures of the internet or a cloud provider. This doesn't excuse paying fees.
- The whole agreement. These terms, with your order and the documents they refer to, are the whole agreement between us about Langrove and replace anything said or written before. If a court finds a part unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right now doesn't give it up. Neither of us is the other's agent or partner.
